7 Tips For Sensitive Skin

Typically presenting itself as dry, red, itchy, or flaky skin, sensitive skin is a skin condition (rather than a skin type), and anyone can have it. Conditions such as eczema or rosacea may cause it, or stressors such as air pollution, chemicals, illness, diet, stress or allergies can trigger a flare up.  If you struggle with skin sensitivity, what is the best way to care for your skin? Switching to gentle, natural skincare products to care for your sensitive skin is very important, in addition to adopting some lifestyle habits and routines to help soothe and protect your skin. 1 Keep skin cool
Excess heat can trigger skin sensitivity; washing your face and body with hot water can strip your skin of moisture, and increase your skins dryness and sensitivity. Stick to lukewarm water when cleansing, and avoid long, hot showers.

3 Hydrate

6 Patch test
It is recommended that you always patch test any products prior to use to ensure skin compliance. This can be done by applying a little product to your inner arm for 24 hours (cover with a plaster if necessary). If no irritation occurs, then apply a little under the chin for a further 24 hours. This will insure that the product is compliant with your skin prior to full face application
