Living Nature's New Certified Natural Ultimate Day Oil

Our certified natural Ultimate Day Oil is the new morning must-have! Whether you have dry, combination or oily skin, this face and body oil is definitely one to add to your skincare regime. With its divine blend of certified organic oils, the Ultimate Day Oil is an ultra-fine oil that can be used both day and night. Check out some of our tips below to keep your skin happy, healthy and glowing!

1) How to add the Ultimate Day Oil into your current skincare regime
Easy! As it leaves no oily residue, all you have to do is smooth 2-3 drops over your face and neck after your regular cleansing and toning routine both morning and night. You can either use the oil alone or add it to your favourite moisturiser, which can actually work as a great primer prior to makeup application!

Tip: If you’re a fan of a dewy makeup look, then try adding a couple of drops into your favourite foundation to create a glowing, even base with a natural looking highlight. The Ultimate Day Oil is also perfect to use as a full body application after exfoliating to return moisture back into your skin.

2) Using other Living Nature products for the best results
Depending on your skin tone, you’ll want to pair this oil with different products from our Living Nature skincare range to best care for your skin.

Oily/blemish prone skin: The Ultimate Day Oil is best used after our Purifying Cleanser and Hydrating Toning Gel and can be mixed in with either our Balancing Day Lotion or Balancing Night Gel.

Dry skin: You’ll want to use our Vitalising Cleanser paired with the Extra Hydrating Toning Gel and then mix the oil with either our Rich Day Cream or Nourishing Night Cream.

Tip: For extra dry skin, try using the Ultra Nourishing Mask (hyperlink)  1-2 times a week with a drop of Ultimate Day Oil added to it.

3) Ultimate Day Oil or Radiance Night Oil?
Luckily, you don’t have to choose, as both our oils focus on rejuvenating and feeding your skin in different ways!

Our Ultimate Day Oil can be used both day and night as it focuses on protecting the skin from free radical damage and contains the nutrients skin requires to maintain optimum health. However, your skin switches modes when you sleep, so our Radiance Night Oil enhances the skins natural rejuvenation process while you rest to aid the repair of damaged skin cells by stimulating collagen production. With a fragrant blend of rosehip, calendula, frankincense and rose oils, Radiance Night Oil soothes and calms your skin to boost the overnight renewal process. Using both products together ensures you’re nurturing your skin around the clock, even when you sleep

4) Won’t putting on a face oil just make my oily skin worse?
Contrary to popular belief, no! Quite often, when we use products to reduce oiliness, we actually end up stripping our skin of its natural oils. So, while it’s understandable to be hesitant, applying the correct facial oil can actually help combat oily skin. Most of the time, your skin over-produces oil as a defence mechanism to not only restore the stripped oils but also in response to unbalanced pH levels and blocked pores. So long as you’re using the right essential oils (like the lavender and jojoba in our product), they will help unclog pores by easily dissolving the trapped dirt and balancing out your skins pH and oil levels, resulting in less shiny skin.

Tip: With oily skin, you’ll want to use this product more sparingly. Try using a facial oil only once a day, before you go to sleep, following your regular cleansing and toning routine.

“I have the kind of skin that even when I wear every type of mattifying makeup available, within 2 hours my face starts to glisten, so I’m very hesitant with what I put on my skin. I was definitely nervous to rub oil in at night because I was certain it could only make the problem worse! But within a couple of days, my skin felt smoother and my pores were visibly smaller which has actually helped make my makeup look smoother and last longer!” – Meghan Kenney, Miss Grand New Zealand.

5) Which essential oil is right for you
It’s the combination of our organic oils that make's our Ultimate Day Oil perfect for any skin type.  But, individually, each essential oil performs best on a specific skin type. If you want to know more about which essential oil will be best for your skin, take a look at the list below.

Oily/blemish prone skin will find the lavender and jojoba oil in our product is the most effective to balance the moisture levels in their skin.

Dry skin will benefit from all essential oils, however, our calendula oil has the most restorative effects as it moisturises deeply to give a healthy glow.

Ageing or mature skin rejuvenates best with the combination of rosehip and evening primrose oil, which are rich in antioxidants and boost your natural collagen production. They can reduce the appearance of both wrinkles and scars too.
