Hi Ally, thank you for your question regarding Active Brightening Serum.

Our expert Jeanne says, "Considering the active ingredients in the product and how it is formulated to reduce the over production of melanin in the skin of an actual tan and pigmentation, it is probably not going to have any negative effect on your fake tan, which is simply a skin tint. It is not something we have specifically tested, and would therefore recommend that you patch test a small area that is not obvious to ensure it won’t have any negative effect prior to full usage.

As we advocate to minimise sun exposure at all times, due to the aging effect on the skin, as well as an increased skin cancer risk, we have not specifically trialed the product with sun tanned skin either. As a sun tan is an increase in the melanin content of the skin, (the skin going darker in an attempt to protect itself), and the Skin Brightening Serum having been formulated to specifically lighten melanin, it is our estimation that it will definitely have a lightening effect on your naturally tanned skin. "

Thank you again for your question. Please contact us if you require further information.

Hello, I hope this message finds you doing well. I was wondering if the active brightening serum with hyaluronic acid can be use with a fake tan or is it in any way going to affect it? Also wondering if is going to clear my natural sun tan during the sunny months.

Thanks in advance for your time and help,

Ally September 25, 2020
