Living Nature choose to certify their products with globally recognised certifying bodies who set some of the most rigorous standards worldwide to ensure we deliver you the most natural, safe and sustainable products.

BDIH & COSMOS
The majority of the Living Nature range is certified natural or organic by BDIH Germany. BDIH is a globally recognised certifying body who set some of the most rigorous standards worldwide for naturalness and environmental sustainability.
Over time the BDIH standard has evolved to become part of the COSMOS standard. The COSMOS standard was a merge of multiple certifying bodies to create a single, harmonised standard for natural and organic skincare and cosmetics. This single international standard ensures companies are actively working towards sustainable practices, as well as providing transparency and confidence for consumers in product safety and efficacy.
The strict criteria and annual audits ensure Living Nature adheres to sustainable ingredient sourcing practices and only safe natural ingredients are included in all formulations. Production and handling of ingredients is completed with care, right down to the cleaning agents used in production and how raw ingredients and products are stored. Our products are protected with environmentally friendly packaging and all marketing materials and communications are reviewed.

Additionally BDIH and COSMOS regulations echo Living Nature’s brand values concerning animal cruelty and ensure ingredient sourcing, product manufacturing and safety testing are conducted using industry best standards and are animal cruelty free.

Living Nature is proud to be 100% microplastic free, and carry the Zero Plastic Inside logo. Organised by Beat the Microbead, this logo certifies that a brand is 100% free of any microplastic ingredients, and allows you to easily find cosmetics and personal care products that won’t compromise your health or the environment.

Buy New Zealand Made
We are proud that all of our skincare and the majority of our cosmetics are registered with Buy New Zealand Made which signifies that our products are New Zealand made according to the rules of the Fair Trading Act, and also meet the Buy New Zealand Made Code of Practice. With the majority of our award winning products developed and produced here in New Zealand, we also work alongside leading cosmetic innovators in Europe to deliver natural, cruelty free cosmetics without compromise*.

*Due to manufacturing limitations in New Zealand, Living Nature’s eye and lip pencils are of EU origin made to our specifications and the boxing process is completed in New Zealand.

GMP Certified
Stringent protocols at our GMP certified Kerikeri factory ensures product integrity through every step of our manufacturing processes. This ensures that Living Nature’s products are manufactured to the highest safety standard available to cosmetic manufacturers globally. In order to be certified, we have undergone a rigorous audit of our premises, systems and processes. This included checks on ingredient quality, hygiene and clean down, suitability of our premises, clear documentation, training and full compliance with legal obligations.
