Katie Loves Her Living Nature Beauty Oils
Hey Everyone! I’m Katie, the newest addition to the Living Nature Marketing Team. I moved to the Bay of Island’s about a year ago and can honestly say I fall in love with this place a little more everyday – it’s so beautiful! I was lucky enough to land the Marketing Coordinator position and am over the moon to become part of the Living Nature family. I have always had a passion for health, fitness and wellbeing and am a bit of a girly girl when it comes to my love of everything skin and beauty. I am generally pretty lucky in the fact that my skin is very forgiving but as I get a bit older I am noticing that my skin is experiencing a lot more changes. Going through a bit of a stressful period, paired with the change of seasons has left my skin in a shambles. I was breaking out which hadn’t happened since my teens and was incredibly dry – I literally had skin flaking off my face. Instead of worrying myself about it, and breaking out more with stress, I decided to take it as an opportunity to try some of the products and as you can imagine starting at Living Nature has been an absolute blessing for my skin!
Okay, not a word of a lie, I am in LOVE with the Living Nature’s Ultimate Day Oil and Radiance Night Oil. With my skin screaming for some moisture but still wanting to wear a full face of makeup each day I was finding it difficult to find a good balance between hydrating my skin and not looking super oily. These two oils saved me! The Radiance Night Oil and the Ultimate Day Oil are now a MUST in my skincare routine and I recommend both of these products to anyone and everyone. The Oils have been through rigorous safety testing to gain their certified natural accreditation from BDIH, Germany (one of the strictest certifying bodies globally) and are made here on-site at Living Nature’s factory in Kerikeri. The oils are also accredited Choose Cruelty Free and are vegan friendly too. Featured in opulent coloured glass bottles with white and gold droppers, these two beautiful products are stunning , especially when the sunlight filters through.
The Ultimate Day Oil is exactly that – ultimate. It’s a balancing blend of essential oils designed to give your skin all the nutrients it needs to achieve and then maintain optimum health, paired with the fragrant blend of Lavender and Tangerine peel I knew I was going to fall in love. Formulated with Rosehip and Evening Primrose oils to provide your skin with essential fatty acids to aid in skin regeneration and repair damaged tissue, along with Jojoba oil, Tocopherol and Totarol to neutralise free radical damage while providing skin nourishment, this oil is a win win. I am always worried about appearing too dry or too oily and I do like to wear a full face of makeup most days. It’s taken a bit of experimenting but I find that 1 drop of the Ultimate Day Oil mixed with my daily moisturiser is the perfect amount of hydration to get me through the day without looking too shiny. If I’m after a dewy finish to my foundation I’ll also mix in a drop of the Ultimate Day Oil with that – so good. I’m all for finding multi-tasking products and have also been using the oil on my hands and cuticles. It’s made the skin on my hands soft and subtle while also strengthening my nails.
Aahhh - Radiance Night Oil, a blend of Rose, Frankincense, Calendula, Jojoba and Rosehip botanical oils which combined aid in the skins natural regeneration process while you sleep. The delicious rose fragrance of the oil has a super calming effect on the mind – perfect to help you get to sleep. Not only is this oil really good for dry skin but it’s also perfect for reducing the appearance of scars and wrinkles. I put this on straight after cleansing and toning each night and wake up with the softest skin. We all know that Rosehip Oil is amazing for our skin as it aids cell regeneration and helps to repair damaged skin tissue, but it’s the lesser talked about oils in this blend that really sets it apart. The Frankincense reduces inflammation while the Calendula soothes and calms. Organic Jojoba oil is amazing for nourishing and hydrating and then the Rose oil boosts the skins natural collagen production.
