When formulating our cosmetics, we take the finest botanical ingredients and combine them with natural minerals to provide a beautiful finish. The result? Premium New Zealand made cosmetics which promotes healthy, radiant skin.
One of the hero ingredients found in many of our cosmetics is active Mānuka Honey. This famous New Zealand ‘liquid gold’ is rich in nutrients, vitamins, amino acids and minerals to feed, protect and renew skin. It also helps to draw in and retain moisture. Its unique 'Mānuka factors' assists in making it one of the most biologically active and beneficial honeys for the skin. You’ll find this glowing skin favourite in our foundations, tinted moisturisers, and even our mascara!
The wealth of natural oils, waxes and butters used our cosmetics to provide a luxurious boost of nourishment (without weighing skin down). In our foundations, we use Macadamia, Jojoba and Avocado Oils to feed and soften skin. Our latest addition to our range, Pure Ivory Foundation, incorporates the ultra-hydrating skincare favourite Hyaluronic Acid. This can hold up to 1000 times its weight in water, helping to plump and hydrate skin for a youthful glow.
The majority of our cosmetics contain antioxidant Vitamin E which helps to protect the lipid barrier of your skin. Everyday skin stressors can create small cracks in the skins barrier, which allow moisture to escape and leave skin feeling tight and dry. Vitamin E helps to keep your skins protective barrier intact, keeping lipids fresh in your skin. Vitamin E also offers antioxidant benefits. It helps to neutralise skin aging free radicals. The antioxidant properties of vitamin E can also help to prevent blackheads by discouraging oil oxidation in the skin.
Formulated without the nasties
Did you know that using conventional beauty products can mean applying around 168 chemicals to your body each day, including ingredients with known health risks? This makes cosmetics containing safe, natural ingredients all the more important.* So while we use some of the world's most remarkable ingredients, what we leave out is just as important. We have a very simple mantra: if there's any question about an ingredient's safety, we simply will not use it.
